Description
Snowflake third of Variations. You can also use the snowflake as a doily or coaster. This snowflake is part of the “Variations” garland. The complete pattern of all five snowflakes at a very attractive price can be purchased here: https://fairylace.kozinenko.com/product/garland-variations-tatting-pattern/
I was inspired to create this garland by Beethoven’s 32nd sonata. You can read the detailed article on my blog here: https://fairylace.kozinenko.com/variations-musical-and-more/
This patterns is for two shuttles. But at some points I used a netting needle or an embroidery needle as a shuttle. In my opinion, this makes the perfect joining with long twisted picots. Links to useful videos are contained in the PDF file.
The level is middle, you need to be able to make Ring, Chain, long picot, twisted picot, join picot.
I used white cotton thread YarnArt Canarias No. 50 (20 grams, length 203 meters). In this case, the snowflake is about 12,5 cm (5 inches) in diameter.
This tutorial consist written instructions in English, graphic diagram and photos of process. There is also a separate graphic design page indicating the number of double stitches (for those who don’t like to type a lot). The pattern consists of 7 pages and has a size of about 3.01 MB.
This listing is only a PDF file, not a finished product.
