I used #50 polyester thread in pink and red 💗❤️ – soft, vibrant, and easy to work with. With this thread, the lace width is about 2.5 cm (1 inch).

However, you can play with your own thread sizes.
👉 Thicker threads will give you wider lace – but also a bolder texture.
That’s why you can adapt this tatting lace pattern to your unique style or project!

This tatting pattern was created for a tatting shuttle.
Nevertheless, you can easily adapt it for needle tatting.
