Garland Variations tatting pattern. The garland consists of five snowflakes. Also each snowflake can be used separately as doilies or coasters. You can also buy a separate pattern for each snowflake.

I was inspired to create this garland by Beethoven’s 32nd sonata. You can read the detailed article on my blog here:

This patterns is for two shuttles. But at some points I used a netting needle or an embroidery needle as a shuttle. In my opinion, this makes the perfect joining with long twisted picots. Links to useful videos are contained in the PDF file.

The level is middle, you need to be able to make Ring, Chain, long picot, twisted picot, join picot.

I used white cotton thread YarnArt Canarias No. 50 (20 grams, length 203 meters). In this case, the snowflakes is about 15 cm (5.5 inches), 13,5 cm (5,25 inches), 12,5 cm (5 inches), 10,5 cm (4 inches) and 8 cm (3.5 inches) in diameter.

This tutorial consist written instructions in English, graphic diagram and photos of process. There is also a separate graphic design pages indicating the number of double stitches (for those who don’t like to type a lot). The pattern consists of 20 pages and has a size of about 6.90 MB.
