Garland Variations is a refined tatting pattern featuring a delicate garland made of five unique snowflakes ❄️

🧵 Snowflake garland tatting pattern details
This pattern is designed for two shuttles; however, at certain stages, I use a netting needle or an embroidery needle as a shuttle.
In particular, this method allows for cleaner and more precise joins when working with long twisted picots.
As a result, the lace looks more refined and balanced.
Additionally, the PDF file includes links to helpful video tutorials for better understanding.
The level is intermediate, so you should already be comfortable with the following techniques:
ring, chain, long picot, twisted picot, and join picot.

📏 Materials and finished size
I used white cotton thread YarnArt Canarias No. 50 (20 grams, length 203 meters).
As a result, the finished snowflakes measure approximately:
— 15 cm (5.5 inches)
— 13.5 cm (5.25 inches)
— 12.5 cm (5 inches)
— 10.5 cm (4 inches)
— 8 cm (3.5 inches)
Therefore, the garland creates a beautiful visual rhythm, gradually decreasing in size.
