I created this broosh in honor of my internet friend Marina. And this pattern continues my “thank you” jewelry collection. She is an amazingly beautiful lady. And she loves making tatting jewelry. Oh, if you could see how elegantly she wears it! Did you know that Marina means “marine”? And this meaning inextricably links the name with the sea element. Of course, I chose blue for the brooch and lots of pearls. In addition, the curls on the brooch look like wave crests.
This pattern is for tatting with one shuttle. But you can also make this pattern with needle. In addition, this pattern is a real challenge for the tatting master. I used polyester threads № 50 in dark blue, blue, and white. And also 6 round pearl beads with a diameter of 1 cm, 21 pearl beads with a diameter of 0.5 cm, and a package ( 5 g ) of Czech Preciosa seed beads with a diameter of 0.1 сm.
The size of the finished brooch is about 3.5 inches (8.5 cm).
Level: advanced. You need to be proficient in Split Rings, Block tatting, and Floating Rings.
