I used # 40 mercerized cotton thread. In this case, the size of the finished doily is about 6 inches (16 cm) around .

This tutorial is for tatting with a needle. But you can use this pattern for the shuttle tatting too.

I really love watching old movies. One of them is the Cherbourg Umbrellas. Such a sweet and touching love story. And what a genius music! This music sounded in my head when I created this pattern. That’s the name for the doily- Cherbourg umbrellas.

You can use this doilies for home decor. Also as wedding coasters, these original doilies will look irresistible.

The level is medium. So you must be able ring, chain, long picot.
